Daily Assignment Fail…
As I noted the other day, I’ve been having problems with the new Daily Assignment quests from the beginning. I figured it might take a bit to work out some bugs, so I kept trying it.
After my initial issues with a somewhat lower level wizard getting assignments in areas to which she hasn’t gained access, I’ve just had my three highest level wizards on my main two accounts doing these quests. Paige, my Balance wizard, has so far received assignments outside her access 3 of her first 5 assignments. Tonight three of the six wizards got assignments that require going to areas they’ve not yet reached. A couple of times I’ve ported a lower level on one account to a higher level on the other to complete an assignment, but two of the three tonight were my two highest level wizards so … nobody to port to…
I also tried a couple of assignments for Heather, the highest level wizard on my third, non-member, account. As I kind of guessed, non-members are allowed to play but since the assignments aren’t linked to each wizards’ access, she’s received only assignments in areas I’ve not purchased, so I won’t be doing it with her.
I’m already feeling pretty defeated that I keep having this issue with six wizards who are level 50 and up. If I’m having this much trouble with them I assume it will be worse for my lower level wizards so I see no point in bothering. [And frankly I wouldn’t want to spend the time to participate with all my wizards every day.] Since access is obviously programmed for each wizard and the game always “knows” where each one can and can’t go, I don’t understand why the assignments couldn’t be programmed to correlate with access. If I keep running into this, I think my interest in this new venture will be at end.
I’m also still having issues with the game crashing when I’m doing the assignments. Mostly it’s happened at the end of a battle, but tonight Jasmine (level 64 Life) just had to go to Water Mole Village in Celestia and when I clicked on the transporter to the Village, the game crashed from that. I’ve almost never had the game crash before and now I’ve had something like six crashes in a week, every time in connection with a Daily Assignment.
It’s a fun idea but seems like it could have used a little more work before unleashing it on the Spiral.
