Plant Now for Birthday

Mid level garden

Generally Kingsisle runs a birthday celebration somewhere in the first week of September.  Sometimes it starts at the end of August (especially if the weekend moves from August to September), sometimes a bit farther into September.  Usually it runs a week and during that time all the member benefits are happening.

KI keeps changing things up and taking things away, so it’s possible it won’t happen or we won’t get all the benefits this time.  But assuming it happens as usual, if you plant now, some of the faster plants will be ready to harvest either when it begins or soon after.  If replanted those plants could get to elder a second time.

And you would have time to plant some of the rather long-to-grow plants like Sword Ferns or King Parsley and get to elder harvest while it’s double.  For the plants that take a really long time, like Deadly Ninja Figs, you’re already a little late but if the birthday celebration starts later rather than sooner, you might be able to get them there.

It’s really the only time you can usually predict approximately when a Double Garden event will occur, so a good chance to be ready to gather as many double elder harvests as possible. Plant now!  Make sure you have all the plant likes in place.

About yogaleigh

Twenty-five years and counting on spiritual, personal growth journey. I've been to Nine Gates Mystery School, practiced yoga since 1985 and taught it off and on for the last 10 years. I've sat vipassana, studied with a Hopi elder for 2 years, practiced Hawaiian Huna, and dabbled in other traditions. Health and wellness have been very tied up in my journey - in fact I'd say issues in those areas propelled me into the spiritual journey. Still learning, still growing -- sometimes I think I like the journey to enlightenment too much to wish to reach it.
